Antiviral Finish

Our new ISO 18184:2019 tested Antiviral Finish for workwear fabrics is an excellent addition to our family of textile finishes available, necessary in a new COVID-19 world where employees of all sectors including healthcare, construction, hospitality, armed forces and heavy industry need to be more protected than ever.

By using an enveloped virus on one of our poly-cotton fabrics coated with Sanitized®, a branded treatment that harnesses the natural antiviral and antibacterial properties of silver, the test found over 99% efficiency against viruses in two hours and over 98% efficiency after 50 washes at 60°C.

Chemical, Oil & Water Repellent Finishes

For outstanding performance in combined chemical splash protection and water repellency we use Splashgard C6 technology – a fluorocarbon treatment applied to the fabric to provide excellent levels of resistance against oil, water and some chemicals.

When liquid spills come into contact with the fabric, they form into beads and roll off the surface. Any dry soiling of the fabric is easily brushed off the surface.

This finish conforms to EN 13034 aqueous chemical splash standard, and has been designed to last and remain effective through repeated laundering cycles.

A high degree of fabric breathability is a critical factor-along with water-repellent properties that offer excellent wearer protection.

Long term durability is ensured by reactivation of the chemicals after the washing process using thermal drying finishes.

Ecological Fluorine Free Water Repellents

These finishes offer a PFC free sound option where only water repellency is required. The finishes are durable and suitable for Oeko-Tex 100.

Stain and Soil release Finishes

For end uses where only limited repellency is required but stain and soil removal is paramount we can offer a range of functional finishes to meet your requirements.

Anti-bacterial/microbial Finish

The ‘Sanitized® Silver’ soundly based on the well-understood and historically-hygiene treatment we use is valued antibacterial effects of silver. Our technology has enhanced these properties and made them more easily harnessed and applied to fabrics to give an exceptionally effective antibacterial finish to fabrics.

This is achieved by using silver ions embedded in an innovative carrier system – free from any nano particles. The finish provides a natural and wash-resistant protection and is the ideal choice for fabrics used in hygiene-critical situations.

The used Sanitized® product is environmentally safe, conforms to bluesign® and Standard 100 by OEKO-TEX® and retains an extremely high antibacterial effect, even after multiple industrial washes.

Vector protection Actigard® Finish

The ‘Sanitized® Silver’ soundly based on the well-understood and historically-hygiene treatment we use is valued antibacterial effects of silver. Moisture Management Finish

Moisture management finish confers wash-resistant hydrophilic properties for fibres of all kinds. The fabrics dry quicker, wick moisture away from the skin and stay soft and breathable even when the wearer is involved in high-intensity activities.

Soft handle Finish (Leisure)

This finish can be applied to enhance a fabric’s own inherent softness and feel, or add an extra dimension to a fabric chosen primarily for other more practical qualities. It gives a ‘super soft’ handle and greatly improves the fabric’s natural drape and a garment’s stylish look.

So it’s an effective way to maximise wearer comfort and maintain a smart appearance – without compromising on a hard wearing and hard-working performance. Soft but durable, the finish is designed to withstand repeated washing.

Crease Resistant Finish

This finish delivers two distinctive benefits by combining exceptional crease resistance with controlled shrinkage, resulting in an easy-care fabric for garments that stay looking smart in the workplace.

To achieve this, the fabric is treated with reactive resin, which improves both crease resistance and crease recovery. During the process the resin is locked in by crosslinking on to the fibre for a durable long-lasting finish that retains it properties after industrial laundering. The fabric remains breathable.
